SATAN DEFEATED (OCCULT – PART V)

The kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness!

          The two kingdoms are at war with each other. God’s kingdom is the kingdom of light, as opposed to Satan’s kingdom, which is the kingdom of darkness. And therefore, any dealing with Satan’s kingdom (i.e. occult practices in any form), are totally unacceptable to God, and therefore forbidden by Him.

          If we scrumble to any temptation, urged on by greed for material gain, we will have to face the consequences of disease, death and banishment from God.

Therefore, God strongly warns:

          No sacrifice to demons. (Leviticus 17:7).

          No passing through fire [of Molech]. (Leviticus 18:21).

          No mediums or diviners amongst God’s people. (Leviticus19:31)

No making of graven images or idols. (Leviticus 26:1),

No worship of the sun or of the moon. (Deuteronomy 4:25),

No tolerating fortune tellers or magicians. (Deuteronomy 18:12-12),

No making of images to be put into secret places. (Deuteronomy27:15),

No communicating with the dead. (Isaiah 65:4),

This is because God will not share His glory with idols. (Isaiah 42:8).

HOW RIDICULOUS IS IDOL WORSHIP!

          ‘And no one considers in his mind, nor has he knowledge and understanding [enough] to say [to himself], I have burnt part of this log in the fire, and also I have baked bread on its coals and have roasted meat and eaten it. And shall I make the remainder of it into an abomination [the very essence of what is disgusting, detestable and shamefully vile in the eyes of a jealous God]? Shall I fall down and worship the stock of a tree [a block of wood without consciousness or life]?’

Dire consequences of idol worship: Those involved in such practices will perish, will be utterly destroyed. (Deuteronomy 4:26).

          If idol-worshippers are not driven away, they will be a continuous thorn in one’s side, and God’s wrath, which has been reserved for idol-worshippers, will be theirs. (Numbers 33:55, 56).

Consequences when Israel’s kings who dabbled in the occult!

King Jeroboam: (1Kings. 12:28-13:33).

          The king has two golden calves made, and the people worshipped them, and sinned. The Lord gives a sign of His anger: altar is split and the ashes are poured out. The king’s hand, which was pointed to the prophet (to have him captured), dries up. The king asks the man of God to intercede for him. God hears the man and the king’s hand is restored. King sins by making high places (for idol worship). King’s dynasty abolished and destroyed.

King Ahaziah: (2Kings. 1:2-4).

          The king falls and injures himself. In order to know whether he will recover from his illness, sends messengers to ask of Bal-Zebub, the god of the unbelieving Philistines. The prophet Elijah challenges the messengers, and prophesies that king Ahaziah will not recover but die.

God loathes the occult! (Because the occult causes our destruction. And God loves us.)

Idol worshippers were so dangerous, that God orders his people to:

Destroy the idols. (Numbers 33:52).

Destroy the altars used in idol worship. (Deuteronomy 7: 1, 2, 5).

The idol worshippers were stoned to death. (Deuteronomy 17: 2-7).

His prophets not to prophesy to idol worshippers. (Ezek. 14: 9, 10).

GOD’S POWER OVER THE OCCULT:

1) God makes Solomon wise: This wisdom was not just worldly wisdom, because it was said that: ‘Solomon’s wisdom exceeded the wisdom of all the people of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt.’ (1Kings.4:3).

2) Battle between the prophets of God and the false prophets:

          False prophets had led the Israelites astray. And so, instead of worshiping the true God, Jehovah, worshiped the false god Baal!

          Elijah asked the people for two bulls. He then allowed the prophets of Baal, to choose one, and offer it up as a sacrifice. Elijah too would do the same, but neither camp was allowed to put fire to their offering.

          The prophets of Baal offered their bull as a sacrifice. And, although they cried out to their god, even cutting themselves until the blood flowed, nothing happened.

          That same evening, Elijah slaughtered his bull and offered it up on the altar. He even put water on the sacrifice until it overflowed into the surrounding trench. Then Elijah called to the Lord. And the Lord answered.

          The fire of the lord fell and consumed the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the water.

          ‘…………when the people saw it, they fell on their faces and, the Lord, He is God! (1Kings.18:23-39).

          And all the false prophets were slaughtered. (1Kings. 18:40).

3) When Moses and Aaron were in front of pharaoh, the serpents of the former two devoured the serpent of pharaoh, showing a spiritual power and superiority over that of Pharaoh.

VICTORY OVER THE FORCES OF DARKNESS:

           The battle was fought and won for us on the cross, by our Lord Jesus Christ, two thousand years ago. And so we do not have to battle him, but only his lies. And we do so by standing firmly on the truth- the Bible!

OUR WEAPONS:

           ‘For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we leas every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ [the Messiah, the Anointed One].’ (2Cor. 10:3-5)- New paraphrased Bible.

OUR ARMOUR: Lord Jesus Christ is our armour! So we put on:

Helmet of salvation: we are saved and nothing can change that!

Breast plate of righteousness: we are righteous because of Christ.

Girdle of truth: for every temptation and attack from Satan, counter it with God’s Word  - Bible Scripture.

Footwear of peace: peace because we are firmly in Christ and nothing can take away our salvation.

The shield of faith: be confident of God’s Word.

The sword, the word of God: deflect Satan’s word, and counter attack with God’s Word.

PRECAUTIONS:

Do not give the devil a foothold. (Ephesians 4:27).

Have no fellowship with darkness. (Ephesians 5:11, 12).

Do not sin: The secret: know God- no sin (1John 3:6, 9).

LORD JESUS CONDUCTED DELIVERANCE! AND SO CAN WE!

          There are numerous examples of demon possessed people being delivered by Jesus. (Mathew 8:29). (Luke.4:34), (James 2:19), (Luke 4:33,35,36) (Luke 6:18).

POWER GIVEN BY JESUS TO US:

          ‘And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe; in My name they will drive out demons……..’ (Mark 16:17).

          ‘And seeing signs and miracles of great power, which was being performed, he was utterly amazed’. (Acts 8:13).

          ‘And the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet’. (Romans 16:20).

PRAYER & FASTING:

           Fasting keeps you mentally alert. It’s also a way to humble yourself before God. Prayer and regular Bible reading builds up your faith and keeps you in tune with God.

A SLIGHTLY MISUNDERSTOOD SCRIPTURE!

          Lord Jesus had taken with Him Peter, John and James, leaving the remaining nine disciples behind.

           After His transfiguration on the mount, when they returned, a man brings his son, who was possessed by an evil spirit to Jesus, so that he could be healed. The boy’s father complained to Jesus that His nine disciples were unable to successfully deliver the boy from the evil spirit.

          Jesus successfully delivers the boy why they were unable to do the same.

          Jesus: ‘And He replied to them, This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer and fasting.’ (Mark 9:29).

          Prayer and fasting are essential. But your mental attitude is of greater importance! Because prayer and fasting are conducted essentially to become like minded with Christ.

          Jesus had taken three of His disciples with Him, leaving the remaining nine behind. And it is these nine who couldn’t conduct the deliverance, because their minds were disturbed.

PRAYER OF DELIVERANCE: (To be said aloud).

          In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the power of His precious Blood, I take spiritual authority over you Satan and all your demonic forces of (name them: fear, depression, illness, disease, death, cancer, AIDS etc.), and bind them in the bonds of the Holy Spirit and cast them off, sending them to the feet of Jesus, never to return, declaring Jesus as the Lord of …………’

PRAYER AGAINST HARASSMENT:

          Evil spirits can harass you through other persons, animals, insects or through inanimate objects. (It is said aloud).

          In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit I command you (name them) to cease your activity against me right now.

SATAN-GIVE NO FOOTHOLD (OCCULT – PART IV)

          People use Satan and his kingdom for personal gain, not realizing that they have much more to lose in the future.

Reason behind divination/fortune telling:

          There are psychics who are able to foretell the future. They also have the ability to uncover hidden secrets. These people do not have any mental power or faculty to achieve this. They do so because of the demonic spirits that speak into their minds and give them the necessary information.

          We see this clearly illustrated when Paul and Silas were in Philippi, a city in Macedonia. There was a slave girl who was possessed by the spirit of divination, because of which she was able to foretell the future, and thereby earn a lot of money for her owners. But when Paul ordered the spirit within her, in the name of Jesus Christ, to come out of her, it obeyed. And she lost her power. (Acts 16:6-9).

COMMUNICATING WITH THE DEAD:

          When some people lose a loved one, they go to a medium with the intention of communicating with the dead person. And sometimes they succeed. The dead person appears and even speaks to them.

          In reality, it is actually a demon who appears in the guise of the dead person, partly to tell the mourner what he wants to hear, and partly to tell him what the demon wants to tell the person, since his confidence has already been won.

APPARITIONS: From time to time, great men and women of the Bible have appeared to people as ‘apparitions’. These apparitions of ‘saints’ are nothing but a hoax of Satan and his demons. The reason for this subterfuge? Simple! The main focus of Satan is to turn our worship away from God and onto himself. When people pray to the ‘saints’ who appear in these apparitions, Satan succeeds in what he wants to achieve.

 HEALING OBTAINED BY PRAYING TO IDOLS:

          Down through the ages, millions of people around the world have received healing and obtained favors, as a result of praying to idols.

          Satan and his demons, (and not God), are the cause of accidents, misfortunes, disease, calamity and death. And since Satan can bring about these problems, he can just as easily take them away and bring about a healing. The result – people’s faith in these idols is all the more re-enforced. And the focus and worship is shifted away from the true God, Jesus Christ!

          But why would God allow this? Because we are endowed with a free will. If these people, instead, turn to Lord Jesus and develop a relationship with Him, they will not only receive a spiritual healing, but an emotional as well as a physical healing as well.

ROOT CAUSE OF IDOL WORSHIP:

 

          Deep down, the motive that drives men to idol worship, is self will and non-submissiveness (Ezekiel 14:4), and this brings about an estrangement from God (Ezekiel 14:5).

Activity of Satan and his demons:

          They tempt people to act against the will of God.

         

They cause disease, death and calamity. (Book of Job).

How Satan attack humans: By oppression, obsession and possession!

 These are different degrees to which Satan torments human beings.

          People are oppressed or harassed by him. If in a greater degree, we get obsession. And when he takes complete control, then he or his demons possess the person.

          Christian believers cannot be possessed, because: ‘he who is united with the Lord becomes one spirit with Him’ (1Corinthins 6:17).

          But they can be oppressed and harassed by evil spirits.

          Many persons with mental problems like OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) go to psychologists and psychiatrists, when all they require is prayer and deliverance from obsession.

Possession: There are several examples in the Gospels:

          A Canaanite woman’s daughter (Mathew 15:22). A man under the power of the Holy Spirit (Mark 1:23). The man who lived among the tombs, who was possessed by, not one, but by a lesion of evil spirits(Mark 5: 2-9). All delivered by the lord!

          And we have the best example of possession, when Satan entered Judas, and took complete of him. (John 13:2).

Modus operandi of Satan (and his demons);

SATAN IS A LIAR: he operates basically through lies!

          Lord Jesus speaks strongly: ‘………there is no truth in him (Satan). When he speaks a false hood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar and the father of lies, and all that is false. (John 8:44).

HIS EXISTANCE: One of the greatest lies he propagates is that he does not exist. This lulls most people into a false sense of security. And once he succeeds in this lie, he is safe to carry on his nefarious activities, because the question of spiritual warfare does not arise.

TRUTH ABOUT OURSELVES: Satan does not want us to learn the Biblical truth about right or wrong, about salvation in Christ Jesus alone, about the cross and about the resurrection of Jesus.

SATAN & A POOR SELF IMAGE/ POOR SELF WORTH: he continuously tells us that we are worthless and useless- and we gradually believe him. He also calls us ‘sinners’. We can counter this lie by looking at ourselves the way the Lord looks at us. And we are definitely not sinners! We are saints who sin occasionally!

 (Read in this blog: ‘We are saints, not sinners.’)

‘THREE A.M. FEAR’ or ‘MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT TERROR’:

          Thirteen witches have a coven and conduct their ritual from mid-night to three in the morning-after which they release the demons, which go forth and torment the people with anxiety, panic and nightmares.

          If you ever go through such an experience, fear not!

           Take the name of the Lord Jesus.

          Peter calls Satan a roaring lion. (1Peter 5:8).

          Because the lion catches his prey by roaring so ferociously, that the poor animal is paralyzed with fear and cannot even flee.

          When, not if, attacked by fear, do not fear! Realize that the source of all fear is Satan. So, stand firm in the Lord Jesus. And Satan and his demons will flee.

NOTE: When the Bible speaks of the ‘fear of God’ it’s definitely not the same, because here we have the ‘reverential fear of God’. It’s what we experience in His awesome presence.

MECHANICS OF TEMPTATION: Satan and his demons cannot read man’s mind. It is only when we speak out aloud, that the demonic forces are able to hear, and decipher our thoughts.

HOW SATAN TEMPTED JESUS:

          Most times, these demonic beings cannot be seen. When we read about the temptation of Jesus in the desert, (Luke- chapter four), we get the impression that there was a face to face dialogue between the two. It probably wasn’t so. Satan put thoughts into the mind of Jesus, even going to the extent of making these thoughts appear to have originated in Jesus. And Jesus countered them by quoting Scripture.

HOW DOES SATAN TEMPT US?

           For thousands of years Satan has studied human nature, and he knows man’s strengths and weaknesses. He puts thoughts in our mind and sees how we respond.

For example a sexual temptation will cause sexual arousal, and these physical changes are noted by him, and noted to be used in the future.

  SATAN’ KINGDOM (OCCULT – PART II)

Deals with Satan’s kingdom, his demons and his future!

SATAN! It is the English counterpart for the Hebrew word meaning ‘adversary’. The Greeks use the name ‘devil’ for Satan.

          Due to man’s sin, everything was put under the subjugation of Satan, and, therefore, ‘he is also called the ruler of the world.’ (John12:31).

          He is also called the ‘devil’ (Mathew 4:1), the ‘tempter’ (Mathew4:3) and the ‘accuser’ (Revelations 12:10).

          He is the leader of the kingdom of darkness whose followers are the demons. And therefore, Satan is also called ‘the prince of demons’ (Luke 11:15).

          Satan, unlike God, isn’t omnipresent (being present at all places at all times).

DEMONS: They are essentially spirit beings who consider Satan as their lord and master. As angels are also spirits, they are called ‘evil spirits’.

          They are numerous. When Satan (who was Lucifer, the light bearer), fell from God’s grace, he took one third of the angels of heaven with him.

          Demons are symbolized as scavenger birds, frogs, locusts, scorpions, serpents and vipers.

          Demons have a will, and can communicate with one another.

          “……when an unclean spirit goes out of man, it roams and decides to go back. But takes with him seven other spirits”. (Mathew 12:43-45; Luke 11: 24-26).

THE FUTURE OF SATAN: Satan’s world is wrongly portrayed as one in which he is tormenting sinners who have died and gone to hell. He is incorrectly depicted as a ruler of his fiery hell.

                                                       

          The truth is that God has banished Satan, and his demons, to an eternity of hell- one in which he is punished for all eternity.

          So, if Satan reminds you of your past, (one which you have repented of, and changed in Christ), then you remind him of his future.

SATAN'S WORLD OF DEMONOLOGY-PART I

SATAN’S WORLD OF DEMONOLOGY (OCCULT—PART I)

OCCULT: It denotes the kingdom of darkness!

IT’S RULER: Satan, also called the Devil.

 

HIS KINGDOM: He rules his kingdom world, with its ascending hierarchy of demons, which consist of: principalities, and powers, and rulers of darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places.

 

THE NATURAL & THE SUPERNATURAL

WORLDS:

          We all live in the natural world. And some of us believe that there is a supernatural world, whether it is the kingdom of God alone, or the kingdom of God along with the kingdom of Satan.

THE TWO WORLDS INTERMINGLE:

          The mistake most people do is to try and separate the two worlds, i.e. the natural and the supernatural. They believe that the natural world operates on one level, while the supernatural on another.

          Therefore they try and explain every occurrence in the natural world with natural logic i.e. by scientific reasoning. And when they fail to come to a logical scientific conclusion, they wave it off as an inadequate advancement in science.

           And if they are told that these phenomena, could be, or most probably are, due to the influence or the supernatural on the natural i.e. by the action of evil spirits or demons, they just laugh it off, saying, that they are not superstitious, and do not believe in such nonsense.

           What they fail to realize that there is an overlapping of these two worlds. And not only some of the strange and unexplained phenomena that occurs, but also many mental and physical diseases that exist in the world today, are the direct result of the interaction between these two worlds.

          And, if one wants to be truly powerful and free, one has first of all stop living in denial, accept that these two worlds exist simultaneously, and that they definitely have a powerful influence on one another. And only then can one learn to exert the power of the kingdom of light over that of the kingdom of darkness, and enjoy total freedom and victory! 

          In my subsequent articles I have described in detail Satan’s kingdom, exposed the modus operande of him and his demons, causing: anxiety and panic attacks, the three A. M. nightmares, voices in the head and schizophrenia, oppression, obsession and possession, mental illness, poor self image, temptations, wounds that do not heal, and much, much more.

          But most important of all, the simple practical way to counter and successfully overcome each and every one of them!

GAYS AND LESBIANS -- HEALING

 GAYS AND LESBIANS - HEALING

          More important than arguing, by taking either a scientific or a Biblical stand, is finding a solution!

 

         

           Science says that the problem is in the genes! And therefore the cause has nothing to do with psychological issues such as bad upbringing, a domineering mother or being raped in childhood, to name a few.

The Biblical stand is very clear:

          “Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers…..nor homosexual offenders……will inherit the kingdom of God.” (1Corinthians 6:9).

          “If a man lies with a man…….they must be put to death.” (Leviticus 20:13).

          God would definitely not condemn an innocent man or woman. Therefore there has to be a solution!

          God created man and woman to procreate. And therefore, any other relationship is unacceptable!

A balance between science and the Bible:

          If we accept the fact that gays and lesbians are the consequences of errant genes, and we stop there, then, instead of finding a lasting solution, we accept them and condone their actions.

          But a cure has to be sought for because God will not judge someone because of the condition he or she is in, but will definitely judge us as to how we respond to that situation!

          And there is definitely a cure for this problem!! 

Jesus surrounded by sexual temptation: During His three and a half years of ministry, Jesus spent prime time with a few people He knew intimately. They were the twelve apostles who were all male. There were also some women who followed and supported Him in His work.

          But a sexual scandal never occurred! The men, some married and away from their wives, followed Him for months on end. They were closely closeted, living and sleeping together. There were times when Jesus got up early in the morning and went a short distance to pray, leaving the men sleeping together. There were other times when He sent them to preach, and they were away for days on end.

          Jesus and His team were continuously under the scrutiny of the religious leaders, the Pharisees and the Sadducees, who even sent men to spy on them. And these leaders even brought false witnesses to testify against Jesus during His trial.

          But, in spite of them willing to stoop down to any level, they were unable to implicate Jesus or His men in any sexual scandal, so that they could not discredit the message by discrediting the Messenger!

          Besides, no mention of any sexual sin involving His men was ever mentioned in the Gospels. If it had occurred, it would have definitely have been mentioned. Jesus would have exposed and handled it  just as He had handled the woman caught in adultery.

          But there was no sexual scandal! And that was because of the very powerful presence of Jesus.

THE ULTIMATE INFALLABLE TREATMENT:

          Firstly accept it as a disease, and be willing to eradicate it!

          Just as Adam’s sin resulted in a genetic curse for all mankind, similarly these victims are the result of a genetic problem.

          But just as the curse of the genetic sin of Adam was neutralized by the power of the Cross, similarly the genetic curse facing gays and lesbians can definitely be obliterated by the blood of Jesus.

          Lazarus is an excellent example. Just as his, many days, dead and rotting body was brought to life, proving that in nature a reversal procedure can take place, similarly an aberrant gene can definitely be changed back into a normal one so that it could do what it had been initially created for!

          The Bible challenges us to act: “Put to death…..sexual immorality.” (Colossians 3:5). Therefore the solution is in our hands. It is left to us to act. But we cannot do so in our own strength.

          And therefore, for those who are bound in homosexuality or lesbianism, they should invite Jesus into their lives by receiving the Holy Spirit. It’s as easy as taking in a breath of air!

WOMEN FULFILLING GOD'S WILL

WOMEN FULFILLING GOD’S WILL

MARY, JESUS’ MOTHER: Walked in utter obedience to the Lord. When the angel told her that she will be with child, she blindly accepted. 
(Luke 1: 29 – 34). 

          Imagine, even today, a fourteen year old unmarried girl pregnant with child. And she experienced it two thousand years ago.

ESTHER: Mordecai, King Xerxes’ adviser, had managed to get the king to sign an edict to have all the Jews annihilated!

          But Esther, at the risk of her own life, went uninvited into the presence of the king and convinced him, not only have Mordecai killed, but to reverse the edict and allow the Jews to avenge themselves on their enemies who had sought to destroy them.

RUTH: Leaving the security of her family she opted to go with her mother-in-law, Naomi to an unknown land to dwell with strange people who worshiped a God unknown to her.

          But in faith she declared to Naomi, “Your people will be my people, and your God my God” (Ruth 1: 16). She was wedded to Boaz, and their offspring became one of the ancestors of Christ Jesus.

SHIPHRAH AND PUAH: Were the two midwives at the time when Moses was born. Because the Israelites, as slaves in Egypt, grew in numbers and strength, the Pharaoh commanded them to kill all the male babies.

           But, out of reverence to the Lord, they disobeyed, thereby saving many babies, including Moses. And God rewarded them, by giving them families of their own! (Exodus 1: 15 – 21).

 MOSES’ MOTHER AND SISTER: Because of the edict to kill all male babies, Moses’ mother hid him. But when he was three months old, and couldn't hide him anymore, she got a papyrus basket and coated it with tar and pitch. She put the child into the basket and placed it among the reeds along the bank of the river Nile.

          The Pharaoh’s daughter, while bathing in the river, spotted the basket. Moses’ sister, who had been instructed to keep an eye on the child, offered to get a woman to nurse the child. Moses’ mother nursed the child and when he grew up was adopted by the daughter of Pharaoh. (Genesis 2: 1 – 10).
